Regular dental care is one of the best ways to prevent dental emergencies. Booking an appointment at Lippitt Dental on a regular basis for a comprehensive dental exam and dental cleaning allows us check for signs of weakened teeth, loosening or aging restorations, and early the signs of infection. We recommend a comprehensive dental exam at least once a year, and dental hygiene (cleaning) at least once every six months. We may recommend more frequent exams and hygiene based on your specific risk factors. We always customize your recommended treatment to best fit your needs and goals.
Patients who participate in sporting activities that could cause a dental emergency are encouraged, regardless of their age, to wear a custom mouth guard while playing contact sports. A large percentage of dental injuries are related to sports and wearing a custom mouth guard prevents many of these injuries from occurring.
We understand that a dental emergency requires immediate care and attention and NW Calgary Emergency Dentistry Services are only one of the many dental health services that we offer here at Lippitt Dental.
We also offer extended hours on Tuesday & Wednesdays for your family’s convenience.
